SQL Server Cloud Integration
What is SQL Server Cloud Integration
It should not be surprising that companies running SQL Server carry themselves to the cloud system. There are many good reasons why you should not rush applications into the cloud system. Many SQL-enabled companies carry important (critical) applications to unknown environments at risk.
Today, many companies are working with databases and make large investments with critical data. To save some money, it is not right to give up working with high potential and risk. In addition, many companies think that they will be forced to access the cloud quickly and control the data.
There are several ways that we can safely integrate our critical data into the cloud. Backup and disaster recovery are two low-impact options that enable us to take advantage of the cloud structure without compromising critical transaction risks for the databases.
The best way to use these options is to purchase infrastructure services from a cloud system provider, such as Amazon or Microsoft.
When using these infrastructure services, one or more virtual machines(VMs) can be deployed in the cloud, and then we can use these systems as our own infrastructure. Now let’s explain some of these substructures.
IaaS (Infrastructure as a service — infrastructure)
We can compare VPS(virtual private server) structure. Microsoft is offering a virtual operating system on our behalf, and we can do whatever we want on this system. For example: (such as operating system installations in VM. )Examples of this service include Amazon ecs and rack space cloud environments.
PaaS (platform as a Service — Service as platform)
We offer you specific services on this platform and we prefer what we need from them.It is particularly important that these services offer horizontal and vertical scalability. For example: Heroku, Geylastic, Google App Engine, Microsoft Azure and Cloud Bees
SaaS (software as a Services — service as Software)
With special software offered to users in this service, we are able to benefit from the software without any labor and maintenance costs on the local computer. Examples include Atlassian, Saleforce, Lucid and Chart companies.
Benefits Of AlwaysOn Availability Group
One of the most important features of IaaS is the AlwaysOn Availability Group that ships with SQL Server 2012. It provides high reliability and data recovery. SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups can provide multiple Failover. In addition, this failover can be performed on more than one server, and more importantly, it provides active access to these target servers.
AlwaysOn Availability Groups can be shown as an alternative to Mirroring. However, when we do Mirroring with the Londonson Availability Groups, more than one Secondary server can be used and active working at the same time. AlwaysOn also supports both automatic and manual Failover, which benefits from the AlwaysOn Availability Groups mirroring process.
In this section, we will have the opportunity to examine the SQL Server 2012 AlwaysOn Availability Groups structure in detail in my next article on how to integrate and integrate the cloud structure with SQL Server 2012.
